Continuous casting
Highlights
- The iron alloy database (IAD) was developed further to provide data for solidification calculations.
- Phenomena-based quality indices were proposed for predicting the onset of defects in slabs
- A coupled workflow including heat transfer simulation, solification simulation and machine learning was developed for online prediction of defects in continuous casting of carbon steels.
